RV Campground Setup Checklist
Full-hookup setup flow with stop points
- Stage 1 — Secure: set parking/transmission controls and movement-prevention equipment in the sequence specified for your rig.
- Stage 2 — Level and stabilize: use approved equipment; STOP if ground support is unstable or a jack/leveling system behaves abnormally.
- Stage 3 — Shore power: confirm compatible service and inspect connections; STOP for burning odor, heat, damage, repeated trips or abnormal indications.
- Stage 4 — Water and sewer: keep potable-water equipment separate, check for leaks and follow campground/waste-system procedures; STOP for leaking or incompatible connections.
- Stage 5 — Slides and occupied-site recheck: reconfirm clearances, deploy according to manuals and inspect utility lines for pinching or strain.

- Know your RV’s electrical configuration before arrival.
- An adapter does not increase the campground source capacity or remove the need to manage loads.
- Use only correctly rated equipment intended for the connection.

- Skip sewer connection when the site does not provide an appropriate hookup.
- Plan tank capacity and dumping around your RV and campground facilities.
- Never improvise waste discharge outside permitted facilities.
